Monet Combs is a centrally located DONA-trained Birth Doula who became inspired to serve families in pregnancy, labor, and beyond after experiencing the empowering, unmedicated birth of her first child in 2016. Along with the Professional Doula Series at the BEC, she has completed the Spinning Babies Workshop to assist families with optimal fetal positioning for an easier, more comfortable birth (she’ll testify – it works!). Monet is a Go Diaper Free Certified Educator/Consultant in elimination communication and gentle potty learning. She is passionate about mindful parenting and is personally and professionally experienced in the art of cloth diapering and baby-wearing. She believes that education is key when it comes to birth and parenting, and that when well supported, the experience can be transformative. Through her own humbling struggle with chronic low milk supply with both of her children, she has become passionate about nutrition, wellness, and self-advocacy in healthcare. She plans to further serve women from fertility through postpartum by embarking on the path of nutritional therapy. When not serving birthing families or enjoying her children, she can be found on her family “homestead” brewing kombucha, tending her vegetable garden, and collecting fresh eggs from her beloved hens.
*While the professional birth and postpartum doulas listed on the website are carefully screened and selected by the Birth Education Center, they are not employees. All doulas invest in the program by paying a yearly listing fee. By entering into contract with your doula, you do so at your own risk. The doulas are responsible for the means and methods for providing non-medical support to families, within their scope of practice.
