Dakota Wolf

CD (DONA)

Dakota is a DONA-certified Birth Doula. She has served as a Hearts & Hands volunteer doula with UCSD. She has observed both Birthing From Within and HypnoBirthing childbirth courses and has continued her education with the BEC Professional Doula Series. Dakota has experience supporting low and high-risk pregnancies, unmedicated and medicated labor, induction, VBAC, cesareans, as well as vaginal twin delivery and vaginal breech birth.

Dakota became a doula because she’s always been fascinated with pregnancy and childbirth and was so curious about the birth process! After learning about doulas and seeing the positive difference they can have on a birth, she became passionate about helping parents find their voice to advocate for themselves and their baby. Dakota loves to educate so that parents understand their options. With each family, she creates a safe space to talk through fears so that parents enter their birth experience with confidence. She works to encourage the special connection parents have with their support team so that the team can give the most helpful and effective care. Dakota respects, empowers, and listens to the birthing person by trusting their judgment and walking with them every step of the way.

*While the professional birth and postpartum doulas listed on the website are carefully screened and selected by the Birth Education Center, they are not employees. All doulas invest in the program by paying a yearly listing fee. By entering into contract with your doula, you do so at your own risk. The doulas are responsible for the means and methods for providing non-medical support to families, within their scope of practice.
