Preparing for the birth of a child or in my case twins is such an emotional experience, you need support, you need a safe space to share & to learn & to let go. Tonight’s relax & release was exactly what I needed. If you think it’s all woo woo hippie-ness you’re wrong, it’s a little of that but it’s also real women, we swear a little, share our fears, learn to find our voice & get support to navigate this crazy journey into parenthood & to realize you don’t have to do it alone. It’s a place to find your tribe, a network of providers who can make birth safe & happy & beautiful experience however you choose to do it. Check it out – you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I recently made the decision to become foster parents. Unfortunately, neither of us have any experience with children and are careening into this decision with absolutely no idea what we are doing. To try and gain some sense of balance we attended a Newborn Education Class at the Birth Education Center. The instructor, Nikki Helms, is fun, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. The class itself is very informative and really helps bring your stress level down from a rapid boil to a slow simmer. It is exactly what we were looking for and both of us left the class feeling like we know a lot more than we did and that we have a resource for more information as necessary in the future.

Care Messer is incredible and if you are going to take a class in SD in preparation for your baby – you need to take it from her! My husband I took HypnoBirthing with Care and LOVED her style, the content and used all the information we learned right away.
I’ve taken many classes here including HypnoBirthing, breastfeeding 101 & relax & release with both of my pregnancies. Care & the BEC are nothing short of amazing.
As a Doula working towards certification, I was directed to The Birth Education Center to continue my education and attend more trainings. I have to say, I am so, so impressed by this center, as well as Care Messer. Everyone at this center is so welcoming, and they really care about every single person who walks through their door. They are simply amazing, and helping empower women through birth every day.
Anita Butler has been a lifesaver during my beginning weeks of breastfeeding. I’ve had latching challenges and also experienced some stress feedings with my little man. Anita was so quick to respond and share her advice. She is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging! Breastfeeding isn’t as easy as it seems but with Anita coaching you through it you’ll be having blissful feedings in no time. I highly recommend working with her!

The Birth Education Center was recommended to me by three of my close friends who all took Care Messer’s HypnoBirthing classes. Each of them had wonderful natural labors, so of course I had to try it out. My husband and I really enjoyed the HypnoBirthing classes. We absolutely loved Care’s personality and beautiful outlook on the entire labor and delivery process. She teaches you how to remove the fear out of labor and really believe in the beautiful process and how powerful our body and minds are. The classes were so helpful in giving us the tools necessary for when it was time to welcome out little one into the world. The classes absolutely came in handy. I am proud to say I had a wonderful natural labor, only 5.5 hours long. I also had Care to our placenta encapsulation. I truly believe in the health benefits and attribute it to a speedy recovery. I highly recommend checking out the Birth Education Center and trying their wonderful classes. We also did the CPR, Newborn and Breastfeeding classes – all very helpful as you navigate the new journey of parenthood.

Breastfeeding 101 with Cindy was excellent! Her honest and realistic approach was spot on. I had been to a breastfeeding class previously (through another organization) and am so pleased I attending this one afterwards. It offered so much more information and loads of tangible techniques. I’m excited to try breastfeeding now, which is a complete 180 from where I was! Thank you BEC…I can’t wait for my next class with you!

We also had Care do our placenta encapsulation and I recommend it to everyone. Our baby was born 2 weeks ago. Care made the process easy and I have had an amazing two weeks feeling great and recovering very well.

So thankful to find Care and hypnobirthing. Worth the time and the money. HypnoBirthing empowers couples together to not fear birth but trust their bodies and each other. My husband is a paramedic and says he’s learned more about labor and delivery from hypnobirthing and care than in school. Highly recommend!
