Heather is a DONA Certified Birth Doula, Certified Lactation Educator, GentleBirth Childbirth Educator and Certified in Rebozo Technique. She has spent additional hours in the BEC Professional Doula Series, and observes and supports HypnoBirthing education. Heather consistently furthers her education through independent learning. Heather teached Comfort Measures and is a team member with our Social Media and online classes.
Heather tells people that she didn’t find birth work, but birth work found her. The birth of Heather’s second son was the driving force in finding this path, for which she couldn’t be more grateful. Once she heard the call, she jumped in with both feet and began supporting women in the labor and deliveries of their babies in 2017. Heather is passionate about ensuring families understand informed consent and are active participants in the birth of their baby; she works with them so that they may find their voices and know how to advocate for themselves in any birth setting. In successful birth, mother’s health and well-being is as important as the baby’s health and safety.

*While the professional birth and postpartum doulas listed on the website are carefully screened and selected by the Birth Education Center, they are not employees. All doulas invest in the program by paying a yearly listing fee. By entering into contract with your doula, you do so at your own risk. The doulas are responsible for the means and methods for providing non-medical support to families, within their scope of practice.
