Why You So Scared To Have A Baby?

By: Care Messer | Birth, Fear Release, Pregnancy | June 6, 2018

Birth is happening all around us. Always. Daily. Nightly. Afternoonly. Birth happens on this planet. Even in our backyards(bugs, birds and lizards folks – and hopefully not your neighbors in their backyards!) Humans have babies. Everything alive duplicates itself. Why then, do you cringe at the thought of a baby coming out of your body? Your powerful, magical body that has created and sustained a life human life for 10 months! A human baby that began from something microscopic into something that breathes, wiggles, smiles and loves. THIS is awesome – YOU are awesome.

Your body doesn’t look for a handbook on how to grow a baby. It knows how to do it. Your body has done it perfectly. All while you slept, went about your daily life and posted your belly pictures on Instagram.

Gestation, labor and birth are just like your monthly cycle. Your uterine lining grows(like a baby), it sheds(goes into labor), it exits your body(expels itself like a birthing baby). It does it very month. No one tells your uterus it’s time to shed – it does it(usually on days that aren’t convenient) but it does it.  Pregnancy is cyclical like our periods, like seasons in nature. Birth is the most natural thing on our planet. Your body WILL go into labor – no woman has ever stayed pregnant forever – never happened ladies. Why then are you so scared?
